FEATHERSTON

(“Times-Age” Special.) PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr and Mrs H. Rasmussen, Wellington, who. .have been visiting Mrs Ness, Pihautea, for the races, returned home yesterday. Mr and Mrs J. W. Fuge (Auckland) are visiting Mrs W. Fuge, Senr., Kaiwaiwai. ' WEDDING. GALLAS—HARDIE. On Tuesday afternoon in the Featherston Presbyterian Church the wedding took place of Christina May Hardie, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Hardie, to Trevor H. Gallas, second son of Mr and Mrs H. Gallas, Waituna West. The Rev R. S. Keenan was the officiating minister, and Miss Joan Sadler presided at the organ. The church was beautifully decorated by Miss Jean Tutbury. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful trained gown of magnolia embossed cloque, cut on classical lines, buttoned down the back to the waist, with long sleeves and heart shaped neck-line. Her beautiful tulle veil was worn over the face and she carried a bouquet of regal lilies. She was attended by her sister, Miss Jean Hardie, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of coral pink georgete over taffeta. She had a spray of pink flowers in her hair, and pink halo veil, and carried a bouquet of and sweet peas. Mr Napier Hardie, cousin of the bride, acted as best man. A reception was held in the Anzac Hall, where Mrs Hardie, mother of the bride, received the guests, wearing a wine coloured spotted sheer dress and hat to match. She carried a posy of carnations. After the usual toasts had been honoured the happy couple left amidst showers of confetti for a motor tour of the North Island, the bride wearing a navy and white American frock with white hat and navy accessories.

Mr and Mrs Gallas’s future home will be in Wellington.
