RAIDS ON TARRAGONA
TWO CROWDED TRAINS HIT
BY BOMBS AT LEAST FORTY KILLED & THIRTY WOUNDED. ATTACK BY LARGER SQUADRON FOLLOWS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) BARCELONA, January 4. Ten planes, supported by several chasers, heavily bombed the lower part of Tarragona and hit two crowded trains. At least forty persons were killed and thirty wounded. Twenty-five bombers afterwards flew over the city for two hours, dropping bombs, while workers were recovering the bodies of victims of the first raid. The complete casualties are not yet available.
