MR R. B. BENNETT
FAREWELL TO CANADIAN OFFICERS.
CONFIDENCE IN LOYALTY OF DOMINION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) CALGARY, January 4. Farewelling massed Army, Navy and Air officers, Mr R. B. Bennett voiced the hope that they would never have to fight abroad. The British way was still the peace way, but no power in the world would stop Britain once the Lion was aroused. The Lion would never find Canada lagging. His retirement to England he attributed to his "bothersome heart,” preventing his re-entry into the legal profession, and to a disinclination to ernbarass the new Conservative leader, Dr. Manion.
