In the Wellington Chamber of Commerce examinations special awards have been made as follow: — Chamber of Commerce Scholar, 1939: Thelma C. McMenamin (Christchurch).
Typewriting: Dorothy M. Wilson (Wellington) silver medallion; Eileen B. Wray (Wellington) bronze medallion.
Bookkeeping: Murray G. Wing (Masterton) silver medallion; Raymond D. Sandford (Christchurch), bronze medallion.
Handwriting: Pamela V. Ashbolt (Wellington) and Glynn Williamson (Lower Hutt), equal, bronze medallions.
Office practice: Gwendoline R. Stephens (Christchurch), silver medallion; Margaret G. Ogilvie, bronze medallion.
No awards were made for shorthand or English composition and business letter writing, the papers being of insufficient merit.
