MODEL AEROPLANES

CONTESTS AT WANGANUI. MASTERTON SUCCESSES. An inter-club contest between the New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Wanganui and Masterton model aeroplane clubs was held at Castlecliff, Wanganui, this week. The Masterton Model Aero Club’s team returned with two firsts, four seconds and one third prize, which goes to show that the local club is progressing very favourably under the instruction of the club captain, Mr David Donald. The weather was fine, though a northerly wind was a little too strong for flying at times. Nevertheless all the events were flown. The results are as follow: —■ Gliders H.L.: A. Ward, 1; D.
