FASCIST MENACE

POSITION IN SOUTH AMERICA CONSULAR OFFICERS TO CONFER. MEETING TO BE HELD AT LIMA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 3. The special correspondents of the “New York Times,” reporting from Chile because of Peru’s strict censorship, state that United States Foreign Service (Consular) officers from all the west coast South American Republics are meeting in Lima for a 10-day conference at which they will disco plans for combating Fascist inroads in South America.

The officers report the existence of a vast well-organised campaign at least throughout the western Republics, and probably all over the continent, in which Germans and Italians are even notifying important South American business concerns that they must discharge all Jews, even those nativeborn, if they expect to continue trade with Germany.
