POWER BOARD MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At a special meeting of the Tararua Electric Power Board two tenders were received for the erection of two cottages in wood with a rough-cast exterior, one from a local contractor for £1502 13s, and another from a Masterton firm for £l5OO. It was unanimously decided that that of Messrs J. F. Baillie and Son, at the slightly higher figure, be accepted. The opinion was expressed that £750 for (each cottage was a very reasonable tender. The resolution was subject to the consent of the Hon. Minister of Public Works to the building scheme.
