M. BONNET CRITICISED

PUBLICATION OF ITALIAN NOTE DENOUNCING LAVAL PACT. DELAY ALLEGED & DENIED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) PARIS, December 30. It is believed that the Government has received a setback as a result of the Chamber of Deputies debate on December I'9. M. Bonnet (Foreign Minister) did not disclose that he had received on December 17 the Italian denunciation of the Laval Pact. Critics declared that this non-mention of the denunciation implied to Italy that bargaining was possible. M. Bonnet explained that he was not aware of the Note on December 19 and could not in any way have mentioned it before it was considered by Cabinet, which later firmly replied to Italy.
