CHURCH SERVICES
Special addresses for New Year's Day will be given at the Church of England services tomorrow. At 11 a m the vicar will speak on 1938, and at 7 p.m. on 1939. The Rev T. V. Pearson will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. At 2.30 p.m. a memorial service for the late Mrs J. Thompson will be held at Taueru. New Year topics will be dealt with in the Methodist Church tomorrow, when the Rev Frederick J. Parker will conduct both services, taking as the morning subject, "How Shall We Remember 1938’’” and at the evening worship, "The Fading Old—The Challenging New.” At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow, Pastor C. H. Skuse will speak on the subjects: “The Year Ahead” and “A Sure Foundation.”
