Mr Andrew Hornblow, of Wellington, is on a visit to Masterton. Mr L. T. Barraclough, of Pahiatua, has left for Sydney to attend the Scout Jamboree at Sydney. The Rt Rev T. E. Riddell, Auckland. Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, is attending the summer conference of the youth workers of the church in Gore. A Sydney cablegram states that the racing trainers, Messrs G. Price, J. T. Jamieson, J. W. Cook, and D. Lewis leave early in the New Year to attend the yearling sales in New Zealand. Dr D. W. McElwain, Ph.D., of the Census and Statistics Department, Wellington, has accepted a lectureship in psychology at Perth University, Western Australia, and will leave to take up his new duties in about two months.
