The church was beautifully decorated for .the occasion by friends of the bride.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of cream georgette over satin, cut in Grecian style, and finished wil,h gold flowers around the full skirt, and a gold girdle and sandals to tone. An elbow-length veil was worn over the face with a gold halo. The bride carried a beautiful sheaf of Christmas lilies. There were three attendants, Mrs S. D. Reynolds (Feilding), matron of honour and Miss Edna Newbould (Carterton) and Miss Beryl Weir (Timaru) bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in frocks of lemon georgette, simply made in Grecian style, with puffed sleeves and finished with gold girdles and gold shoes were also worn. Each carried a sheaf of Christmas lilies, and wore a wreath of lemon flowers around the head.

Mr Lewis Harrap was best man, and Mr R. Hughes and Mr Ted Jones were groomsmen.

On leaving the church little Margaret Reynolds presented the bride with a lucky horseshoe. After the ceremony the many guests were entertained at the Prince of Wales Hotel, where they were received by Mr and Mrs Harrap and Mrs G. Tester (aunt of the bridegroom). Mrs Harrup wore a navy blue and white ensemble, and Mrs Tester a blue lace frock. Iceland poppies from cream to gold tunings adorned the guests’ tables while the bridal table, on which was a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake, was .decorated in lemon shadings. When Mr and Mrs M. R. Williams left by car on their honeymoon, the bride was wearing a clover frock- with navy elbow cape and navy accessories.
