Mrs M. McKay, of 17 Villa Street. Masterton, is today celebrating her 89th birthday.

Miss L. Marshall, of Fcilding, has been on a visit to Eketahuna, where she formerly resided.

Mr and Mrs W. E. Trott, of Dunedin, and Mrs H. Hands, Wellington, are staying with Mrs H. A. Harcombc, Vivian Street, Masterton.

Mr and Mrs K. J. Aplin, of Hacker Street, Masterton, are visitors to Tauranga. They will later tour other parts of the Auckland province.

Miss McWhinnie, of the staff of King's College, Otahuhu, is on a visit to relatives in Cole Street,. Masterton. Miss McWhinnie will be remembered as a St Helen’s nurse, and during her term at Masterton she did good work.

The engagement is announced of Rana, youngest daughter of Mrs M. Broughton, Mangatainoka, to lan Jack, second son of Mr and Mrs W. Simpson, Eketahuna.
