A communique from General Franco's headquarters claims that a victorious advance continues on every sector of the Catalan front, but unofficial sources admit that the initial impetus has been somewhat reduced during the past two days, partly owing to the necessity of consolidating the new-ly-occupied territory and partly owing to Republican counter-attacks. A communique states that General Franco's forces in five days occupied 400 miles of territory.
