General situation: A rather deep westerly depression is crossing the Dominion. pressure being low to the south while remaining high to the north; there has been a rapid rise of pressure over Eastern Australia. Forecast: Strong north-westerly winds to gales, changing to southerly by tomorrow morn; ing; weather cloudy to overcast, with some scattered rain., at first but becoming more general with southerly change; temperatures mild but cooler tomorrow. 1
