EIGHT INJURED

COLLISION BETWEEN CARS IN AUCKLAND. TWO VICTIMS IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Three adults and five children were injured, though none seriously, when two motor-cars came into a side-on collision at the intersection of Gillies and Epsom Avenue, Epsom, at about eight o’clock this morning. A baby aged four weeks and another child were admitted to hospital. Five others were treated in the casualty department. The driver of the larger car, Decric Sparks, 23, a miner employed at the Glen Afton Colleries, suffered laceration to a hand and a cut on the face. With him were Eileen Douglas, 18, who suffered from shock; Winifred Douglas, 11, lacerations to a leg, and Ivy Douglas, eight, concussion and head injuries. The last mentioned is in hospital. The smaller ear was driven by Jack Dunbier, 32, a traveller, of Auckland. With him were his wife and son, aged three, and a baby boy, aged four weeks. The latter is in hospital suffering from concussion and shock.
