TWO RIG ATTRACTIONS. “Secret Agent’’ and “She Shall Have Music” will be shown finally at the Cosy Theatre tonight. TOMORROW’S PROGRAMME. The popular conception of firemen and their work is all wrong, according to Captain Orville J. Emory, of the Los Angeles Fire Department, who acted as technical advisor on the Warner’Bros, melodrama, “She Loved a Fireman,” which comes to the Cosy Theatre tomorrow. In his capacity as technical advisor on “She Loved a Fireman,” Captain Emory worked in co-operation with Carlton Sand, Morton Grant and' John Farrow. He feels that for the first time, a fire-fighting picture has been produced that really portrays the spirit of the service. A vibrant drama of Paris highlighted by thrilling fights in the underworld, the shadowing of notorious criminals by the French police and the romantic affairs of a jewel crook comes to the screen in “The Rat,” the second attraction. Based on the popular stage play of a few years ago, the new dramatic opus boasts th§ starring team of Ruth Chatterton and Anton Walbrook and a host of prominent players in support. To insure the authentic atmosphere of Montmartre, the cast was assembled in Paris by Director Jack Raymond. Many of the exterior scenes are streets of the French capital. A condemned murderer leaves his young and pretty daughter to the care of the Rat, who protects her with his life; and then as romance unites the two, the crook begins to leave his i haunts on secret visits to the apartment of a wealthy and sophisticated i woman of the world. The woman’s millionaire companion is murdered in the Rat’s garret and the story takes surprising turns in a sensational murder trial in the Paris courts.
