FEDERATION OF INDUSTRIES & NEW ZEALAND MR. MACDONALD QUESTIONED IN COMMONS. DESIRE FOR CO-OPERATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON. December 20. In the House of Commons Mr Malcolm MacDonald, asked whether he considered the recent Federation of British Industries statements prejudicial to relations between Britain and New Zealand and whether this was likely to accelerate the process of disintegration, of which the_ Minister himself had spoken, replied that the authors of the statement were within their eights in expressing their views. There were certain agreements between Britain and New Zealand. “I am sure the New Zealand Government is. just as anxious as we are to pursue these matters in mutual co-op-' eration,” he added. “I have no doubt frankness on both sides will forward that spirit.”
