THIRD AMERICAN NOTE TO REICH REGARDING TREATMENT OF NATIONALS. IMMEDIATE ASSUR*ANCE DEMANDED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON, December 15. The State Department, in a third note to the German Government during the last few weeks, demanded an immediate assurance that American Jews residing in Germany will not be affected by the anti-Jewish decrees. The Note expressed disappointment at Germany’s failure to give assurances in this matter, and reminded Germany that trie United States of America has afforded German citizens equal rights with other foreign nationals. MIGRATION PLANS ! CO-ORDINATION EFFORTS. POSSIBLE SETTLEMENT AREAS. LONDON, December 16. Efforts to co-ordinate the various committees and organisations interested in the problem of the migration of German Jews are to be made. Mr Daniel Wolf, president of the International Jewish Colonisation Society, has had talks with prominent British Jews and it has been decided to establish a representative international advisory committee and a board of trustees. The diplomatic correspondent of the ‘News Chronicle,” Mr Vernon Bartlett, says that the areas which are now considered most ■ suitable by officials for large-scale Jewish settlement are North-east Rhodesia, Angola, Lower California, Alaska, and British Guiana, and adds that important Jewish organisations are likely to send out commissions to investigate.
