One of the three Vickers Wellesley bombers. which recently broke the world's long distance record was damaged in a forced landing in mountainous country near Collier Bay, Western Australia, about 130 miles north-east of Derby. Advice has been received that the crew of the plane were not hurt. A second Wellesley dropped food, and 1 ground party has been organised at Derby.
