ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
ANNUAL INSPECTION.
A combined inspection of the Masterton Nursing, Ambulance and Cadet Divisions was held in the Drill Hall. Messrs Falconer, and Dutton, Mrs Baltrop (Lady District Supt) and Mr Meachen, Centre secretary, members of the Wellington District, were present and carried out the inspection. Demonstrations in bandaging and stretcher work were given by the members.
Mr Falconer complimented the members on their work, and said that he was pleased to see such a good number of cadets present. Mr Falconer also stated that he expected members would be called upon to give their services at the Centenary Exhibition in Wellington. Mrs Baltrop spoke of the good, work the Nursing Division was doing in regard to field duty and cadet classes and complimented the cadets on their strength. A warrant of appointment as lady ambulance officer was presented to Mrs F. McKenzie, and Mr Bernie was awarded a first aid certificate.
At the close of the inspection Mr Cooper entertained the officers of the Wellington and local centre to supper.
