I SPLENDID FIRST NUMBER. The first number of the Wai-arapa College Magazine is a particularly bright and attractive production of its kind. It contains a mass, of information relating to the many activities of the College from the time of its inception at the beginning of the year and on that account this initial number will prove of considerable historical value in the years to come A glance at the contents shows the wide scope of the information included, such as general news, items about the Parents’ Association, College House, Form notes, laying of foundation done, roll of pupils, concerts, drama, debating and oratory notes library, all kinds of sport, cadet and shooting, Pipe Band, show of work, examination results. Wairarapa High School Old Girls’ Association and an expupils’ section. Also included are excellent photographs of the 1938 prefects, the wool-classing room, shearing the College flock, hockey, basketball, cricket and football teams. Altogether the magazine is a most creditable production and one well worth possessing.
