Mr and .Mrs Rupert Glendinning, Wairoa, are visiting Mr and Mrs Baird, Cole Street, Masterton. Miss Mary Evans, of Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs Archer Hosking, of Masterton.
Mrs and Miss Asher, and Mr and Mrs Baruch, of Sydney, are visiting the Chateau before coming to Masterton to stay with Mrs Nathan, Llandaff.
The Misses Valerie and Patricia Riddiford, who have recently returned from England, are staying with Mrs E. W. B. Hornabrook, Masterton. Mr and Mrs Tolhurst and family of Cole Street, Masterton, have motored to Napier to spend a week by the sea. Miss Margaret Mace will return to Masterton with them. Mrs S. L. P. Free, of Masterton, has returned from a visit to Marlborough, where she attended the Teschmaker— Davis wedding. She travelled by air between Wellington and Blenheim. ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Elsie Eileen, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. C. H. Morgan, Greytown, and Thomas John, late of tne Imperial Army, India, son of Mr and Mrs J. H. Charles, South Wales, England.
