THIRD GOLDEN RULE
NOURISHMENT OF THE SKIN.
In the course of an interview yesterday, Mrs Kay-Oliver, visiting beauty specialist said:— ■ .< “Miss Arden’s third golden rule is to nourish and that of course differs with the type of skin. For the normal skin there is the Velva Cream, wljich will keep it smooth and soft and is particularly beneficial in the case of broken veins. Then for the dry skin there is Orange Skin Food and with either of these creams may be used a little Muscle Oil on all lines and for the crepeyness of the neck. There is also the Astringent Cream for use in the case of oily skin. The cream contains an ingredient which retards the overactivity of the oil glands. Naturally there are many other creams for individual requirements of which I will be pleased to tell to those who call and have a chat with me.
“Your Nourishing Cream should be patted in with Miss Arden’s Cream Patter following the same lines of the Astringent Patter. Care should be taken always to have some Nourishing Crehm on the skin when taking youibath or shower as the steam is both drying and coarsening. So even if you do not like sleeping in cream remember to have it on during your bath and, if possible, for a little lime in the day. Open pores can be taken care of with Pore Cream which should be used sparingly and left on all night.”*
