PRINCIPAL EVENT TO GAY SON. A WIN FOR TAURANGI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WOODVILLE, December 12. The summer meeting of the Woodville Jockey Club concluded today in fine weather, though the westerly breeze was still in evidence. The track was in excellent order. The attendance was fair for an off day, and the totalisator handled £10,728, compared with £12,461 10s last year. The total for the meeting was £27,697 10 against £27,479 for the meeting last December, an increase of £2lB 10s.

After the running of the Kiritaki Handicap in Woodville today, an inquiry was held into interference with Jeanne and Kathbella by the winner, Guiding Light, and the judicial committee resolved that R. W. McTavish, rider of Guiding Light, had been guilty of careless riding, and that he should be suspended till December 30. Details of the racing:—
