MARTINBOROUGH
RADIO CLUB FUNCTION. ("Times-Age” Special.) The annual “beano” of the Radio Club was held last evening at the Club rooms, all members being present as well as members of the Experimenters’ Club in Masterton. Before the “Beano,” the officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr R. J. Wright (re-elected); secretary, Mr S. Ussher (re-elected); Treasurer, Mr S. Ussher; vice-president, Mr K. Feist; committee, Messrs G. Cotter, R. McGaffin, S. Bell and Misses J. Grant and S. Broughton. Toasts were honoured and replied to, after which the prizes were presented by the secretary of the Masterton Club to the following:—K. McGaffin (receiver construction), W. Holland (most members nominated), S. Ussher (gadget competition), R. J. Wright (D.X.), T. Duffy (morse), J. Grant (morse), who also received a special prize along with a gold key tied with the club’s colours the occasion being her 21st birthday. A special prize was also presented to O. Thomas (“Uncle Owen”). A very pleasant time was spent in community singing.
