BUSINESS AT CANADIAN PORTS. OTTAWA. Canada. Indicative of the increasing use of Canadian ports in the movement of grain, all but 63.122 bushels of the 9,821,604 bushels of wheat shipped from Canada to the United Kingdom in the first two months of the current crop year passed through Canadian ports. Similarly, of the 4,208.081 bushels shipped overseas to other countries, only 3740 bushels went by way of United States ports. Including 4,851,228 bushels held in the United States in bond for milling purposes, total exports this crop year to date amounted to 18,880,913 bushels. This compares with a total of 12.448,027 bushels in the corresponding period of 1937 when 1.625,812 bushels passed through United States ports.
