REVISION OF TREATY DEMANDED ACORDING TO COMMUNIST PAPER. ALLEGED THREATS TO BRITAIN. (Independent Cable Service.) . LONDON, December 12. The Communist paper “Daily Worker” asserts that, when the Japanese Foreign Minister, Mr Arita, demanded a revision of the Nine-Power Treaty on December 8 he also declared that unless such revision was accomplished within three months Japan would undertake drastic reprisals against Britain and American in the Yangtse Valley and would also virtually blockade Hong Kong. These threats, says the paper, were conveyed to the British Government by the Ambassador in Tokio, Sir Robert Craigie.
