LABOUR FEDERATION

QUESTION OF ADMITTING COMMUNISTS. HINT OF POSSIBLE CRISIS IN AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 12. Steps are being taken to rescind a remit carried by the Auckland Labour Representation Committee suggesting that Communists be admitted to the Labour Party which remit it is understood, was passed by a majority of a comparatively small number of delegates present for the forwarding to Wellington of remits for the Easter conference.

Developments have reached such a pitch in the district council of the Federation of Labour that it is hinted there may be a crisis in the near future which will awaken unionists from their apathy and ensure that the delegates to the council represent the rank and file of unionists.

Interesting developments are expected at a meeting of the council called for this week.
