TALKING IN UNISON
ITALIAN AND GERMAN PAPERS ATTACK ON MR MACDONALD. ALLEGED HYPOCRISY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, December 9. Completely sympathising with the Italian claims to Tunis and Corcisa and expressing indignation at the •‘French excesses against well-known Italian feelings,” the German newspapers simultaneously condemn as hypocrisy Mr MacDonald’s colonies announcement. The attitude of the German Press has enabled Signor Gayda in the “Giornale d’ Italia” to scoff at the “silly prophecies of German coolness toward Italy,” adding that, like those German which must yet be realised, the Italian rights are wellfounded and essential. Italian life, he says, will be inflexibly guarded and partially assisted'by Italian and German solidarity. MORE BURLESQUES DEMONSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT FRANCE. FEARS OF FRESH AGGRESSION. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) PARIS, December 9. Student burlesque demonstrations against Italy were held throughout France, when Consulates were strongly guarded. The newspapers are apprehensive of Italy and Germany planning fresh aggression.
