BOY SCOUTS
MO KATOA TROOP. (By “A.W.A.”Christmas will soon be here and Scouts are looking forward to it. The bike tour, between Christmas and New Year, will be a great event and I want each ooy who is going to let me know as soon as possible so that all arrangements can be made. We leave here on Boxing Day and proceed to Wellington, and there take part in the send off to the Jamboree Contingent to Sydney. From Wellington we proceed round the West Coast back to Masterton via Palmerston North. Travelling will be in easy stages at an average speed of six miles an hour. The whole route has been carefully planned and the arrangements will leave plenty of time for Scout activities. The success of the tour depends upon yourselves and should prove very beneficial. On Wednesday, December 14, the Scouts will entertain their fathers at supper and I hope all those fathers who can will come along between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and join with the boys in this little function.
■ The rally at Eketahuna tomorrow is of course uppermost in our minds just now and with fine weather it will be a great day for the Wairarapa Scouts. Mo Katoa Scouts and Cubs are requested to be at the Den at 12.30 p.m. sharp and are requested to bring something to eat and a mug.
