WAIRARAPA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The members of the Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club last night, held their annual meeting, which was well attended. The president, Mr L. J. Taylor, was in the chair. The annual report and balance sheet showed that a good year had been experienced, and the club has finished well on the right side of the ledger. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr Ben Roberts, M.P., (re-elected); President Mr L. J. Taylor (re-elected) ; Vice-presidents, Messrs A. Rolph, S. V. Sharman, G. W. Barr, C. K. Gooden and Gordon Udy (re-elect-ed), Messrs S. Copp, A. J. Allison, G. A. Vincent and J. Robertson, M.P.; joint secretaries and treasurers, Messrs C. A. Greenwood and K. Woollett; handicapper and starter, Mr A. O’Donnell (re-elected); club captain, Mr R. Copp; committee, Messrs E. Graham, Killington, J. Corlett and officers exofficio; delegate to Wellington centre, Mr S. Woollett (Wellington). Regret was expressed by Mr L. J. Taylor that the retiring secretary (Mr C. Dykes), would shortly be leaving for Nelson. This would be a serious loss to the local club. It was Mr Dykes who had formed the club, and credit was due to him for the excellent progress which had been made. Regret was also expressed at the loss of the delegate to the Wellington Centre (Mr B. Harman), who was also leaving for Nelson.

The subscriptions for the ensuing year were fixed at seniors, 7s 6d; juniors, ss. This is to include affiliation fees and registration numbers. The honorary members’ subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. Thanks were accorded to those who had in any way assisted the club during the past year. Prospects are very bright for the coming year, and the progress of the past twelve months should be eclipsed.
