WASHING THE EIDERDOWN

A RELIABLE METHOD. Eiderdowns can be washed quite satisfactorily. Make a lather with tepid water and a good soap, and in this press and squeeze the quilt. Add a handful of soap to the water if there is any likelihood of the colours not proving fast. Rinse in plenty of tepid waler and see that all the soap is removed before hanging on the line to dry.
