ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

NURSING DIVISION’S WORK. A pleasant evening was held at the home of Miss Whitehouse, lady superintendent, 11 Opaki Road, on Tuesday, evening, to celebrate the close of the year’s work of the members of the Nursing Division of the St John Ambulance Brigade. Musical items and competitions were given by the members. After supper Miss Whitehouse presented certificates to new members who had passed the Home Nursing examination. Miss Jansen on behalf of the new members thanked Miss Whitehouse for the pleasant evening and hoped that next year would be a successful one. Miss Whitehouse suitably replied. Items were given by Miss Jackson (pianoforte solos). Miss Earrer (recitations and poems), and Miss Whitehouse (play). The winners of the competitions were: Mrs McKenzie, Mrs Thompson, Miss Jansen and Miss McMullen.
