“GOD DEFEND NEW ZEALAND” RECOMMENDED. ERROR IN CENTENNIAL EMBLEM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Centennial Council today recommended to the Government the adoption of Thomas Bracken’s “God Defend New Zealand,” as the Dominion's national song and was also unanimously ot opinion that the national song should be sung after “God Save The King.” The Centennial emblem designed will undergo an alteration in consequence of an error pointed out by Sir Apirana Ngata.
