CHRISTMAS MUSIC
SERVICES AT METHODIST CHURCH. A very well-known feature of Masterton Methodism is the junior choir of 30 trained young voices which leads the choral praise at the morning services. The attainments of this choir are known far beyond Masterton and expert eyes look somewhat enviously to our town, knowing of the splendid results obtained and the remarkable continuity of the work through such a number of years. For the Christmastide the choir is presenting the very tuneful and seasonal cantata, “Chimes of the Holy Night.” For weeks the choir has been at work in preparation for this event which is to take place next Sunday evening as part of the evening worship. The young people taking'the leading parts are: Misses Maida Andrew, Joyce Orr. Alma and Norma Davey, with Gordon Orr, Daniel Davey and Ivor Perrin. The Misses Donald who are in charge of the choir are to be congratulated on the splendid work achieved for their church and for their town. On Sunday evening the choir will be under the baton of Miss Ivie Donald, with Miss C. Donald, L.R.S.M., at the grand organ and Miss Elsie Donald as leader.
