RABBIT CONTROL

REQUEST FOR INSPECTOR AT TINUI. (“Times-Age” Special). Representations have been made to the Government for the appointment of a rabbit inspector to be stationed at Tinui. At a meeting of Tinui residents held recently those associated with a scheme for the control of rabbits in the district decided to request the Live Stock Division of the Agricultural Department to reappoint a rabbit inspector at Tinui. The matter was placed before the authorities by Mr J. Watson, Wairarapa Provincial Secretary of the Farmers’ Union, and the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon W. Lee Martin, has replied to the effect that the question is being looked into, and that he hopes to advise further at an early date.
