COMING OF AGE PARTY

MISS JOAN SMITH. A very enjoyable time was spent in the Savage Club rooms on Saturday to celebrate the coming of age of Joan, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. P. Smith, of Masterton.

The guest of honour received her guests and was the recipient of many lovely and varied tokens of esteem.

Mr George A. Barr acted as M.C. and Mr Jack Barnes officiated at the piano. Mr Eric Henderson proposed the toast of the guest of honour to which Miss Smith suitably replied, after her father had presented the key of the door.

Mr A. P. Smith replied to the toast of the parents which was proposed by Mr Ken Palmer.
