THE TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT'S PROCESSION. KEEN PUBLIC INTEREST IN MANAWATU. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. The Road Safety Week procession, sponsored by the Transport Department, arrived here this morning and made a circuit of the city Later it assembled in the Square, where a welcome was given by the Mayor, Mr Mansford. and the chairman of the Kairanga County Council, Mr Collis, who delivered appropriate addresses. The vehicles then departed for Hawke’s Bay. The procession aroused keen puolic interest.
