RIFLE CLUB COMPETITION. BALFOUR AND TE WHAITI CUPS. ("Times-Age” Special.) The competition counting for the Balfour and Te Whaiti Cups was fired last Saturday afternoon at ranges of 500 and 600 yards, ten shots at each distance. The weather conditions were rapid passing clouds, with a fresh tail wind veering from right to left. H. W. Feast was in top place with 49 at 500 yards and 47 at 600 yards, scoring one point over the club’s limit. H. R. Feast was the next best off the rifle with 48 and 46. The following

Foss, of Featherston, left the ■ road near the Grey town cemetery ‘and crashed through the fence. Although the car turned over and was badly damaged the occupants were not injured.
