BAN ON JEWS
MORE NAZI OPPRESSION USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES PROHIBITED. EXCLUSION FROM IMPORTANT STREETS. (Independent Cable Service.) BERLIN, Decembex- 4. Jews have been banned from the principal streets, all places of amusement and bathing establishments. The bans do not apply to the Jewish residential areas in north and central Berlin, and these will become ghettos. Jews must obtain permits to cross them. A decree, forbidding German Jews to own or drive cars and motor-cycles, declares that the murder of Dr von Rath by the Polish Jew, Grynszpan, proves them unsuited to possess motorvehicles. Between 30,000 and 40,000 Jewishowned cars in Berlin alone and 100,000 throughout the country will bft brought to a standstill by this decree. An official statement advises Jews to give up their dwellings in or near all important streets, as they will eventually be excluded from such streets.
