GRATITUDE FOR PEACE
OFFERING BY BULB GROWERS IN HOLLAND. (Bx-itish Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Decembex- 3. The First Commissioner of Works has announced that, as an expression of gratitude fox- the preservation of peace in Europe, the Dutch Central Bulb Growers’ and Exporters’ Committee has offered gifts of bulbs for planting in' the neighbourhood of the Parliament Buildings of those countries which contributed to the rescue of mankind from the horrors of war. On behalf of the British Government, the First Commissionex- has accepted a gift of 10,000 tulips from the committee, and these wil be planted in the gardens adjoining the Victoria Towex- of the Houses of Parliament.
