Lamb market; Little interest is being taken in remaining small stocks of old season’s in view of substantial arrivals of new season’s Australian and South American. Mutton market: Wethers meeting with better inquiry, with lightweights shade firmer. Ewes still selling slowly. Beef market: Frozen beef, good demand at unchanged prices. Chilled beef meeting with good demand; hindquarters weaker, fores firmer. New Zealand porker pigs firmer in anticipation of Christmas demand. New Zealand baconer pigs: Nominal. Spot stocks light. Boneless bobby veal: Trade slow. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board from its London office, which advises that the following* are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market.
