TWO TRAINS WRECKED IN QUEENSLAND THREE MEN KILLED & OTHERS INJURED. ENGINES HURLED FRQM RAILS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. BRISBANE, December 2. Two goods trains collided early this morning between Hughenden and Richmon. The drivers of both trains, Herbert McMurtrie, aged 52, and George Bowler, aged 43, both married men, and one of the firemen, George Galton, aged 38, also married, were killed. Three others, including two railway guards and one fireman, were injured.

The locomotives met head-on on a single track, while travelling at 20 miles an hour. They were completely wrecked, heing hurled from the rails and overturned.
