NAVAL LIMITS
BRITISH NOTIFICATION TO ITALY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, December 2. After signing the naval instrument Count Grandi (Italian Ambassador), was handed a communication notifying Italy that although the treaty limit on capital ships is 45,000 tons, Britain’s present intention is not to build beyond 40,000 tons unless other European countries exceed that limit, in whicn case she will immediately advise Italy.
