AIR CRASH
LUFTHANSA PLANE HITS HILLSIDE. BRITISH OFFICIAL ON BOARD. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. ' (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) VIENNA, December 2. Captain F. S. Wilkins, the Air Ministry’s Assistant Inspector of Accidents, travelling to Bagdad to investigate the Calpurnia accident, was slightly injured when a Lufthansa plane crashed on a hillside in a fog. One person was killed and four members of the crew and two German passengers were seriously injured. The plane was burnt out. The Air Ministry has ordered Captain Wilkins to return home, and is sending out another official.
