At. the wool sales, 9,704 bales were offered including 4.112 from New Zea-' land and 7 919 were sold. There was a fairly good selection. Demand had somewhat subsided and was confined chiefly to the Home trade. Prices generally were at par to five per cent; lower compared with the close of the [ last series.
