VOLUNTARY LEVY
FUNDS FOR CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, This Day.
In order to contribute to the local centennial funds, the staff of the “Northern Advocate” and the administrative staff of the Borough Council have voluntarily agreed to a levy of one penny per £1 per week on salaries and wages, from today to February 6. 1940.
