(Received This Day, 1.25 p.m.) LONDON, November 29. “The Times” Cape Town correspondent states that the most remarkable civil action in the history of South Africa has opened in the Supreme Court. Mrs Fanny Herman has sued James William Hodgson for £3OOO damages, alleging the murder of her husband, a pawnshop manager. Hodgson was acquitted on a murder charge and the widow is taking civil action on an allegation of unlawful killing.
