YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB. FILMS OF FARM ACTIVITIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Greytown , Young Farmers’ Club. was held in the Fire Brigade Hall, Greytown on Monday night, when 18 members were present. Details of the fleece competition were given and a number of members stated their intentions of entering. Notice was received of the fact that a Young Farmers’ session over 2ZA. Palmerston North, will be broadcast on Tuesday, November 29, at 8.15 p.m., when items of general interest to the public will be broadcast. Mr N. Lamont showed several movie talkie films on various farm activities, including “Haymaking in America”. “Life of a Plant” and “Wheat” and educational and entertainment films. Mr N. Lamont was accorded a very hearty vote of- thanks. Bowling Rinks. The following will represent Greytown against Carterton on Saturday:— At Greytown—Burns, Page, McLeod. Carter; Connolly, Curtis, Bunny, Vile. At Carterton —Brown, Day, Kilgour; Kenning; Vile, Rees, Best, Higgison. For the Shield —Brunton, Burden, Nightingale, Dennes. Further games played in the handicap singles are: —C.. Brown beat D. Rowe; H. Walden beat F. C. Bunny; R. G. Vile beat H. T. Rees. Playing for the Dennes Medal on Monday evening T.
