About 5,000 German Jews so far have been admitted to Belgium and many children placed in institutions. The Minister for Justice, M. Gqhlien, said Belgium was willing to receive more refugees, until they were settled overseas as farmers and in the meantime had established an agricultural training centre. Describing Mr Neville Chamberlain’s refugee proposals as a long-term pol£y the Rev. M. L. Perlzvzeig, a member of the World Jewish Congress, said tens of thousands of Jews could not hope to survive until emigration schemes > matured. He urged the nations to facilitate the immediate migration of I large numbers, for which the Jewish communities were willing to make themselves responsible.
